“Horizontes” workshop — CIEP 309 Zuzu Angel, Brazil

2026

As part of the exhibition “Horizontes. Memória e pele”, David Catá led an art workshop with the pupils of CIEP 309 Zuzu Angel Intercultural Brazil-Colombia, in Rio de Janeiro. Through painting and memory, the participants reflected on the landscapes that shape their identity and turned their memories into small personal works.

Landscape as emotional territory

The workshop offered art as a place of encounter, where landscape ceased to be merely a physical place and became a shared territory. An experience that strengthened the dialogue between contemporary creation and education, building bridges between cultures through memory and artistic expression.

40th-anniversary workshop — CEIP Península da Paz, Cervo

2026

To mark the 40th anniversary of CEIP Península da Paz, David Catá ran a participatory workshop in which each pupil painted a small fragment of the school’s façade onto the palm of their hand. Brought together, the photographs of their hands formed a single panoramic image of the building, turning each child’s individual memory into a collective portrait of the place they share.

The resulting work was presented during the school’s anniversary celebrations, as a tribute to the generations that have built its history.

Mural workshop — Colegio San Roque

May 2025

Recycled bottle caps, paint and small hands turned the playground of EEI San Roque into a collective garden brimming with life. A mural created by the youngest children alongside David Catá, where every flower speaks of sustainability, imagination and shared tenderness.

Art with a purpose

Over three days of play and creation, the school’s children shaped a symbolic landscape: a dandelion drifting over the mountains, sowing the future from the everyday.

Artistic interaction as a family — Colegio San Roque

A workshop shared across generations, where painting and photography become intimate languages for exploring the bond between parents and children, at the heart of Colegio San Roque in Viveiro.

Landscapes and memories on the skin

Aspanane workshop — Superarte series

May 2025

Over two days of shared work, the members of Aspanane delved into the language of self-portraiture alongside the artist David Catá. An exercise in looking at oneself, where every stroke and every frame becomes an affirmation of identity.

David brings the workshop to your centre. Regularly in Viveiro and throughout Galicia; for the rest of Spain, please ask.

They adapt to the time available: those held so far have ranged from a single day to three days of shared work.
