Origen

Origen is an autobiographical album in which I turn my visual work into music. These instrumental compositions, all my own, speak of the loss of a loved one, of memory and of oblivion.

The pieces on this album are a tribute to my maternal great-grandmother, Perpetua, with whom I shared a very close bond throughout my adolescence. Her pain seeped into a part of my soul, inspiring images and melodies that became a refuge for memory and for the timeless fragility of remembrance.

The tracks —Presentimiento, Una rosa de papel, La caracola, Inflexión— are born of the same images as his photographs: the needle, the thread, the dandelion seed. The same wound, told through another material.
